Fantastic pictures thankyou. A few things come to mind, as usual, when I see things such as this. Why do so many people build on the water front or in low spots? With a storm coming why wouldn't more people take their boats out of the water? With high winds expected, why do people park underneath trees? Winnpeg was built in a flood plain and has suffered greatly in past years, especially in 1997 and 1950 come to mind. We get some monster snow storms. 1997 was very bad and many others. Before that in 1985 or 1986 we got a very bad one, I was moose hunting and was about 13 miles in the bush. These events are like war and mother nature always wins.
