Yup. Especially since most Americans can't come up here. I was just talking to a friend who booked a hunt for the fall. I can't recommend anyone in particular though. I hunt on my own.
Outfitters have history of avoiding local hunters because they reveal their spots & techniques so hunter goes solo in his area next year. And usually Canadians won’t pay what an American hunter will.
As stated in earlier posts Manitoba guides will not return your phone calls if your a local ( personal experience).
Plus don't waste your time, u don't need a guide. Just go talk to a local bee keeper/honey farmer. They'll point you in the right direction.
I just saw this post. My outfit only caters to Canadian residents. Can you bear hunt without a guide, yup! Would you gain valuable insight by hunting with a guide, yup! I've spent years and lots, and lots of money perfecting my craft, and I'm still learning. I work hard to give my clients an experience and memories that last a lifetime. I am taking 2 hunters only this spring, and a few more in fall. So, if you want a spring spot email me at rattlingjunkie@gmail.com
