Does anyone know if Sawyer permethrin spray (or a comparable substitute) can be purchased in Manitoba or online from Manitoba yet? I’ve heard conflicting opinions. Thanks.

Peavey online lists an Ortho Home DefenseMax Perimeter and outdoor spray which is .25% permethrin, the sawyer product is .5% permethrin.
Cabelas stateside carries it, you may be able to order on line and shipped to Pembina or US border town which has parcel service

Big bears will hold their hide, so if you are selective you should have good hide quality.

Howdy, young colour phase boar off to the sausage maker. Great hunt; lots of wildlife and nice weather. The ticks on the bear were impressively gross but in 3 days of hunting I had only 3 on my outterwear, 1 of which was dead (found none on my body). I'd say the permethirin works pretty well.

Thanks for sharing the pic of your bear - awesome color. In my area they’ve all been jet back only.

Ps - icaridin repellent works amazing,is cheap, doesn’t stink or taste like poison when it hits your lip accidentally, and it won’t melt plastic the way feet will. Works better than deet and for more hours.
